hmmm, I thought they were harmless, innocent, and even a bit CUTE- but 2 times now, I have went to grab one, and it felt like it bit me - and there was a tiny white dot on my finger- do these bite, or have sharp back leg spurs ?

I've read that they have some prickly things on there legs. I've been lucky so far, but I'm sure I'll get pricked, too. :) They're such cool looking, unroachlike roaches, that I like them enough to take it. Plus, little guy thinks they're delicious. :D

yes, they are pretty cool - and I can not remember who told me to use olive oil on the edge of the cup to keep them from getting out, but it worked VERY well, not a one has gotten out :) I just do not like how fast they are - LOL but yes, the chams love them :D

I bought some bug barrier stuff. It's liquid teflon, I think. So far, and I've only had them a little while, none of them have tried to climb out, or fly when I open the tops. I have the regular P. Nivea in a 5 gallon bucket, and the Giants in a small rubbermaid bin. I painted a 2 inch barrier around the top of the containers, and then covered the tops with aluminum screen, then put the lids on. That way if one is climbing on the top, I'll see it before I open the screen. Probably overkill, but I don't want any escapees. :D
