Did i do something wrong?

My female blue bar had 33 eggs about 1 week ago. She dug, laid the eggs, covered the hole, and then climbed up on her branch to bask. I thought she was done. I weighed her and could tell she had the eggs, so i put her in her cage and fed and watered her. We dug up the eggs and put them in the incubator. The last couple of days i've been watching her and she wasn't acting right. She really wasn't eating and was pacing around her cage. I had taken out her laying ben, the one i keep in the cage so i know when she is ready, so i decided just for the heck of it to put it back in. It wasn't in there a half hour and she started digging. I put her back in the big laying bin and she immediately started digging and now her butt is in the hole. What went wrong? How come she is laying like 2 clutches at a time? I've never had that happen before. Does this happen often? That they dig a couple of holes and lay eggs in each one taking a break in between? She seems very healthy.

33+ eggs is quite a lot for a animal to deal with imo.
She had even more to lay and tired out to the point of giving up for a bit I believe.
she left the dig and went up to bask and rest after completing the process.

The rest of the eggs were able to move down into position in that time
she got triggered and realized it's digging time again.

Is it common for females to only lay a partial clutch?

I am starting to suspect this of my female who laid 37+ recently, however, she still is not feeding as heavely as she did before she quite eating in the days before laying. She did pick up in diet today though ofter a huge hydration session. She is also still in her gravid colors, and the past day or two has been climbing around on the rim of her pot. I may put her cage back on top of the laying basin again this weekend. It's no big deal to do, I just remove the bottom of the cage and it fits perfectly on the laying basin.

partial clutch is bad.

are you saying that she was able to complete the 2nd session
and deposit the rest of her eggs?

If you are talking to me, she is still digging. This is her 3rd hole. Why is a partial clutch bad? And does it happen often if they have a large clutch?

Kevin...I always have a place in the cage for a female to dig to show me that she needs to lay eggs. Not having somewhere for her to dig can lead to eggbinding.

Kevin and chamlover...where any of the eggs in the last clutch infertile?

Nope. All her eggs were fertile. She stopped digging and there was no more eggs. She does have a digging bin in her cage which is how i noticed to begin with. She just dug and dug, but no eggs the second time. I checked her belly and there doesn't feel like there are any eggs either. I am not sure who is confused more, her or me. What do you think?

Keep an eye on her. It bothers me that she started digging again but didn't lay any eggs.

Me too. But like i said we can't feel any at all. But she does have an egg-laying bin in her cage. Since i took her out of the big bucket she hasn't dug at all and is eating and drinking normal.

yes, and she was up basking.
