Howdy All,

We are having the next SBCK meeting back at the downtown Los Angeles location. Steve Sims is able accommodate us in the fancy downstairs lobby area of his workplace building.

Think of any topics that you might want to bring-up the round-table discussion. You might even want to post them here under the December 30th meeting invite posting beforehand just in case someone wants to prep their thoughts about it. Always check for last minute meeting location changes too.

There will be a free drawing with a chance for you to win one of two new low-cost digital infrared thermometers! Happy Holidays!!

Near the southeast quadrant of where 110 fwy and the 10 fwy cross.

Link no good? Go to Google maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl) and cut/paste this into the search window: 1933+S+Broadway,+Los+Angeles

There is free parking in a lot next the building during the hours that we will be there. You'll see 3 very tall pine trees deep in the parking on the side of the building where the free after-hours parking is located. It's right in front of the entry and the lobby area where the meeting will take place.

The "South Bay Chameleon Keepers" (SBCK) meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Meetings are pretty much free-flowing with all chameleon topics open for discussion. "Show and Tell" discussions are common. We continue to experiment with group bulk-buys (silkworms, crickets, etc.) at our meetings. Some members may be bringing dubias, silkworms, hornworms and crickets to sell but that's not guaranteed. Let us know if you are looking for these feeders (or anything else) and we'll try to confirm availability (pre-ordering) before the meeting. Some of us bring our chameleon books and magazines along with other various items to spark discussions.

Don't hesitate to RSVP with an email to: [email protected] if you think you might be coming. Didn't RSVP? Come anyway!

On your way and got lost? For this meeting, call Dave Weldon on his cell phone# 310-600-4793.

Our group ranges from long-time breeders to novice keepers. Lately, there have been 16+ members attending. There are usually new members at every meeting.

Sorry, Dave Weldon probably won't be bringing my microscope to this location for now.

No guarantees but there are usually snacks and drinks brought-in by some of the attendees.

See You There,

SBCK

Who needs bugs?!

YAY!!!!!!! who's bringing poop?

Dave said he isn't bringing his microscope...;)

But I might bring some for him to play with when he gets home after the meeting. :D I am worried Henry has parasites... I am not sure if it was just maggots in his poop or if he pooped them out (I am not 100% on how long the poop was sitting in his water run off curtain.....). I would like to hope its not from him :rolleyes:

Also, for those who need bugs. PM me or email me your order. If you ordered last time and have my spread sheet still, email that to me. If you didn't get the spreadsheet and would like one, PM me your email and I will send you a copy (you will need excel to view the file). The spread sheet calculates your cost as you enter your quantities. We should have a good supply of bugs for the meeting, but PLEASE pre-order.

Edit: Sorry.... he said "Sorry, Dave Weldon probably won't be bringing my microscope to this location for now."

Cricket Crack

Please let me know if your thinking about picking up some gutload at the meeting. I've had a few people request already. It helps me keep the batchs made to order, and really fresh. Like an In-N-Out buger.

I'd like to thank Kevin for the brain sludge implanted in my brain over the weekend; Everytime I see a mini cooper now. the phase "Mind the Gap" pops in my head. So that happens like three or four times a day, :rolleyes:Thanks Kevin.

Silkies and Hornworms please!

Hey Kevin,
Can I get 50 small silkies and a cup of small (not tiny) hornworms? Thanks! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and gets what they wanted from Santa.:)

I've got an order in for fruit flies. So far I have enough to cover Steve, Ryan and me. If anyone else wants to add to the order, just let me know how many and of what kind, melanogaster or hydei. They are $3.75. I was getting them initially for $3.50 and have asked about the price change so maybe it will drop down to $3.50 again.

I think I'm bringing christmas cookies, but if I can figure out how to make iced chameleon cookies, I will. :) I need a cookie cutter.

Looking forward to seeing you all there! :)

Where is everyone?!

I've got ya down on my list and checking it twice!

I only have a few orders... Is everyone still out of town?!

If anyone wants anything, please get back to me by 1pm tomorrow (Sunday) so I can get your order. I might just order a few extras in case people are out of town this weekend and can't respond in time. If your reading this before 1pm Sunday, please don't expect me to have a lot of extras, so reply now to confirm thanks!

Edit: If your not on my list and tried to contact me try sending a PM to me. I have: Tylene, Dave, Nicole, Emil and Frans.

Elisa,

Can I get in on your fruit fly order(and possibly crickets)

I could take 2 hydei(the babies prefer them) and 3000 10 day olds.

Let me know, I can drop by $ tomorrow to make it easier on you if you want.

Thanks,

Kevin

Also,

Other Kevin,

I read you wanted to beef up your roach colony. Let me know if you want some on Socal speacial

How much are we talking?

Very little;) I think I could half my colony and still be in good shape. If I do end up making it I'll set you up with a few females and feeders.

I also have a bunch of blue bar ambilobes if anyone wants one(the chameleons aren't free though;), but we can work a good deal out)

I feel weird when I have to go to the store just for them and only buy 1 thing

Hi Kevin A :) I'll be around if you want to drop off money. I am trying to confirm the price on the fruit flies. They are either $3.50 or $3.75. I have added your hydei and 10-day-crix to the order which will be delivered to my house sometime on Monday.
