Day time light and night time heat for a veiled chameleon

The guy at my local pet store sold me a 10.0 REPTISUN bulb for my veiled and I am afraid that it is to strong for my tiny Raine. I believe that the 10.0 is for desert reptiles. I was told I needed the 10.0 because of the size of my enclosure. (18x18x36 all screen). Would it be better to switch to a 5.0 ? I also have a bearded dragon that could use a new UVB bulb so it would not go to waste.

As far as night time heat I was wondering if I could use a heat rope? ( tiny plastic rope that heats up) Sometimes my apartment gets a little cold at night (60*-70*) and I don't want her getting sick.

She seems to be adjusting to her new home well and does feed from a feeding cup i made out of a solo (yes, its red lol)cup and a s hook. I have her light on a timer that turns on at 7am and off at 7pm and I mist her two to three times a day and she gets natural light during the day. I know that glass blocks the UVB so I have a bulb for that. I just purchased a digital temp and humidity gauge that I am gonna install tomorrow. What is the best placement for it?

I hope I am on the right track to keeping my girl healthy and happy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Virginia;)

So, here's my advice. If you are concerned with the UVB being too much for her, you can always add an extra piece of screen between it and the top of the enclosure. This will reduce the intensity. Many use 10.0 for UVB and have a lot of success. Just make sure that there is a lot of foliage for her to escape if she wants to. As for the temperature gauge, I would suggest a few of them. One near the top, one in the basking spot, and one near the bottom. You should have a temperature variance of a few degrees so she can self regulate her body temp. I wouldn't use anything to heat at night if temps are above 55 degrees or so. As for the hygrometer, I would also suggest two. This will ensure accurate readings if one goes bad.
