dark to get more heat?

Dwayne got some sun yesterday & he got dark while out there, usually he just does the dark for camo... I could have sworn I read a post that said they turn darker to absorb more heat... is this true or am I just having a brain cramp?

Yes thy turn dark when they are stressed but also when they want to absorb heat.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply, he is generally so laid back & I couldn't beleive he was stressing from the sunshine...

actually, its not unusual for chams to get a bit stressed out when going from fake sunlight, to real sunlight. my chams do the same thing, freak out, go black for bit, then settle and relax.
