Dark patch after shedding on Veiled Chameleon

I recently came back from a few days away (with friends feeding the chameleon), and saw a dark patch on her back, and its also the last place he has skin after her last shedding.

She is about 3 months old (I think), been fed regularly with dusted crickets and mealworms, lives in 18x18x36 screened cage. I saw from previous threads that dark patches can be burns but where it is, it doesnt seem to make sense. Pictures attached:

any ideas on what this is and what i should do? Thanks for any help

It does resemble a burn, but you are right, it is in a strange place. It looks like the edge of it is shed, so maybe just give it a little time and see if the patch does not fall off and then you can see what is underneath. If you do ever have a burn (which I am not sure) you can use Silver Sulfadiazine. Also, I would say she is a full adult, atleast a year old or more with the size of her. Seeing her on your hand, she is as big as your whole hand. A 3 month old would be about the size of your finger. She can lay eggs at any time being mated or not, incase you are not aware of that, so she will need a laying bin set up in her cage.

thanks so much for the reply. I'll keep an eye on the mark, but the black mark is under the skin as it goes below the area of unshed skin. (the chameleon is still small, the hand is of a 9 year old - I guessed 3 months as i bought it when it was the size of my thumb 2 months ago - but i have put bucket of earth in cage just in case).
