Currently hating shipping issues...

Has anyone else had like a month where you couldn't ship for random reasons that were just out of the blue, or one week where everyone buys all at once and for that entire week you can't ship and there for are behind for weeks on end? Or when you ship during that month weird things happen like DOAs? I just need to feel like this isn't just me... like sometimes the bad luck happens and hates? I am hoping this bad luck won't be constant for the rest of the year. I have felt off for far too long these last few weeks .____. Please tell me I am not the only one?

You ARE the only one! LOL. I think bugs are trickier than the chameleons. You have to try different packs with cold packs and what not, then ask your trusted clients to give you feedback on arrival temps and DOAs. Have you tried the Cryopaks, they don't heat or cool just absorb heat and cold. Used by the medical shippers to keep constant temps. Look them up on the internet.

I am also asking this on my arachnoboards, maybe they will have some better icepacks to use? Usually my icepacks aren't a problem but the weather this month has been very confusing on my end. .____.

Idk if it would keep them warm enough? I honestly am not sure how they work? I mean how do I know it will keep safe temps for insects who may be more sensitive since it is made for medications?

I use Phase 22 packs but they are not cheap--about $4 each. They work by absorbing or releasing energy as they change state from solid to liquid to solid. They change state at 72F (22C) so they keep the temperatures more constant around 72F.

I might look at buying those in bulk... see if I can get them for cheaper... because honestly I ship out so much it may kill me buying that many... or maybe I could ask for my clients to send them back when possible... and give them some free feeders on their next order or something in return. Cause I use packs almost all through out the year

I don't ship anything out, but I do feel your pain. I purchased a new construction home and moved in May, and still cannot receive mail or any of my packages (bugs/amazon/etc.) because according to google maps, and the USPS, I DON'T EXIST. Eventually this will resolve itself, but my sister who lives in town is not appreciating regular shipments of live bugs! Lol

And we, I just took delivery of some eggs shipped with cryopacs and they were 72.7 degrees when they got here. I think they work pretty good. I checked the empty package this morning out of curiosity and it was 72.5. They seem to hold pretty stable.
