Crickets

What's the suggested amount of crickets to keep on hand if you aren't planning on breeding right away and what size container do you keep them in? Do you put holes in the lid or is the seal loose enough for some air for them?
Any links to old threads or pics of cricket tubs would be helpful =) Thanks!

When i was keeping Crickets. I'd usually keep 1000 at a time (this was for 3 Chams)..

I kept them in a 20g rubbermaid bin with some egg flats.

I got Medium (1/4"-1/2'').. At this age they don't chirp and will last longer and grow larger.

I cut a 10" x 10" hole in the lid and ducktapped mesh over it. That seemed fine for me . I had escapes somehow when i had vent holes on the sides.
