Crickets vs Texas

I keep my crickets out side since they like warmer temps, but now that it's like 102 everyday here. They are dying really quick now and I can only keep them for about 3 days. Would it make any difference to keep them inside at 70 degrees? Won't they die just as fast?

i keep mine inside my house year round at 65 to 75 degrees and they last alot longer then 3 days usualy a couple weeks

I have to keep mine inside here in AZ, they last about 6 days inside compared to a day outside for me.

I keep mine inside (also a Texan) and they last over a month. Yes, it will make a big difference if they're not living in the oven that is our summer.

I keep mine in my garage. I have 3 plastic storage containers (the deep ones) that I keep them in. One is for small, one for medium, one for large. I cut a large hole in the lid of each one and hot glued wire mesh to the inside to cover the hole and provide sufficient air. The tubs are deep enough that the crickets get plenty of air. My garage gets 90 - 95 degrees and I dont have a problem with them dying except for the number that would normally die anyway. I just make sure they are well hydrated and well fed (sustaining food). I also have a double layer of eggshell carton at the bottom.

Then I have the cricket staging area (death row). These are smaller containers (sm, med, lg) where high nutrition gutload and hydration is available 24/7.

Then they win the lottery and go to "The Island"!!
