I am not complaining WHAT SO EVER!! however, i find it strange that the crickets in my bin NEVER chirp at all. i have no issue keeping them alive for about 2 weeks or so until my guy eats them.

when they do get away they chirp though. i had a coupel hidden in the closet that chirped non stop.

Only the adult male crickets will chirp. None of my crickets have started chirping until they have gotten big enough. Are the crickets you currently have full grown? This may be why they don't chirp in your bin.

yes they are full grown. i am getting the same feeders as my buddies and i didnt notice it until i was at his house and heard his chirping away. and the ones that escape also chirp... its strange

cant they chrip depending on the temps in the bin and room ..... im from NJ and mine only chirp in summer then in winter i hear it maybe once every so often

crickets usually start chirping once the onset of natural death is active. reason being, they want to find a mate before it's too late

No noise here either!

No, mine do not chirp either!!! But I figured that I might just have gotten lucky so thought I'd enjoy it while it lasted... lol!!!
:D
