so my female jacksons cham just had babies so i want to breed crickets for them, i did some reaserch on how to breed and already started, about 4 weeks ago i bought 40 crickets and placed them in a 24x17x13 plastic bin and covered the bottom with about 3 inches of moist soil, i took the crickets out 2 weeks after putting them in there to lay eggs. today i checked and saw about 20-30 pin head sized crickets, perfect size for my new born babies, but how do i take the crickets out without takeing any dirt? i have tried to catch them but its too much work to catch one by one. what are some methods ppl use to take them out with out taking anydirt?

Next time put moist (not wet) soil in a tupperwear containter for them to put the eggs in and put some mesh over it so the females can put the eggs in but so the males cant eat the eggs. Then take it out and put it in another bin for them to hatch out and then remove the soil filled tupperware. I've never bred crickets but will be this summer maybe in a few weeks once the weather gets a bit nicer so I can just leave it in the garage.

Also, if you want alot of pin heads, get 1000 crickets. I buy 1000 crickets at a time (large/full size) for my 2 chameleons and 3 bearded dragons. Costs me $34.99 (sometimes less) in Canada.
