I wouldn't... they have sticky pads on their feet, so they're fine in tall aquariums, or I just use tall rubbermaid style bins, lots of foliage, and keeps the humidity in really nice.
Hi there! I'm into Cresties too. Babies and Juvies should be in terrarium style cages. I use the larger ExoTerra cages to house groups of seven babies or juvies. Adults can be housed in chameleon type cages. I just got an adult pair that I am going to put in a chameleon cage as soon as I get time to take it and the plants outside for disinfection with bleach and water. A chameleon had been in it before. A lot of Crested breeders use screen cages. They can walk up and down the screen. The down side is that Cresties tend to poop on the sides of there cages while they hang out on them. It's a lot easier to clean poop off a glass vertical wall than a screen vertical wall. I'm going to try it. If it's too much of a pain I will get a glass cage. This empty screen cage I have already has a great 30" tall Hoya topiary plant in it and a big fern. Great plants for Chams and for Cresties. The Hoya holds a lot of water on their leaves after misting. The leaves are formed like shallow cups that hold the water for long periods of time. This keeps the humidity up for most of the day after misting. It's great for drinking. My local nursery gets these big Hoya topiaries in just for me. They are pricey ($70 each) but they last forever. They hold up better than ficus plants do. I buy one a month to spread the cost out. I've got about 8 now. In the long run they are less expensive than other plants. I've never had to throw one away. I just clean them off with a bleach/water solution when switching cage occupants. Female panthers love them too. They live to sleep inside the topiary at night. Enough about Hoya plants. Anyway, you can keep adult Cresties in screen cages but the poop on the screen may be an issue. You also have to work a little harder to keep the humidity up or get a plant with leaves like a Hoya
