Could anyone give me an opinion on a locale for Raneri?

This is Raneri.
One of our rescues.
We originally thought nosy faly.
Then ambanja.
Then maybe a cross?
Any ideas?

Hard to really know for sure... crosses provide almost limitless possibilities, so it's tough to rule out that it might be a cross...
I would say Ambanja is the most likely locale otherwise.

It looks like a cross between an ambilobe and ambanja but I'm not good at knowing all about cross breeds. If he was just a pet and not going to breed him then just call him whatever you like(lol). If you like ambanja, so then let him be an ambanja. He has nice colors, seems calm, and looks very healthy. Good luck with him!

It's hard to say, I can see Ambanja in him but also faly with the red spots, it might be a faly/Ambanja cross but I wouldn't like to say for certain

Beautiful. I don't know, but for me for a faly too little yellow around the mouth or too little white around the body. Cannot really tell. But such a nice Cham no matter what. I was so paralyzed by the locale discussion here before I dropped it and just enjoyed my Cham. Saying - if you are not sure, just love it more.

We love him to death! And he is Soooo handsome.
His orange around his arms and around his head are amazing.
He looks a little like everything.
We were just debating on whether or not he would get a girlfriend in the future.

I personally believe you need to mate them to be healthy. So give it a try if you have the knowledge to prepare a female for the mating season.

We found a gorgeous ambilobe female in town for our other male but he is still in recovery so we are putting that off.
Just trying to figure out more of what he is before we pick a lady.

If I had to guess, I'd say he looks like an Ambilobe x Ambanja mix, because he looks Ambilobe-esque but there's something about the blue that makes me think Ambanja as well. He's beautiful none the less, I love blue guys (particularly crosses).

I would say he looks very much like an Ambanja, but you will never know for sure. Perhaps as someone pointed out, Ambanja x Nosy Be. Either way, very pretty. If i had to pair him up, Id get an Ambanja female for him.

If you can get him to fire up, it will show his colour variety and make it a bit easier to determine.

I would say Nosy Be....If you think he has to be a cross maybe Nosy Be with Ambanja. But All his red could be just Nosy Be and traditionally Nosy Be's had more baring than the true blues we see today. The white lips are also more of a Nosy Be than Ambanja thing
