Concerning Exoterra Flexarium, and Heat lamps

Hey guys! I have a quick question about the mesh flexariums.

A fine gentleman from the forum has offered to send me a dome lamp, as I cannot afford one, and my cham needs a lil more heat.

My question is, how much heat can the mesh handle? I don't want to melt it, but I need to figure out how I'm going to place it, before I get it! the UVB light is clamped to a shelf over the viv, but doesn't make enough heat to damage the screen, so I am hoping I can mount the heat lamp the same way.

Can anyone offer some experience?

depends what kind of mesh it is. if its aluminum you'll be fine. it its more of a plastic mesh you might have a problem putting the light right on it. if you have it lifted off the mesh you shouldnt have problems with either.

This is the product I use for her cage. It's sort of plastic/nylon, I guess? Hers is the 65 gallon.

The most I can keep it is an inch or two away from the mesh, due to the setup height, and the wimpyness of the clamps that come with most dome lamps.

I have a 75 watt moonlight that I am hoping I can use. It gives off a sorta blue/purple light, I think? I can't remember, I bought it for my snake a year ago and it wasn't hot enough, so I put it back in its box and put it away until I needed it.

I really only need to raise the temp by a few degrees, so I'm hoping it's mild enough.

Any concerns with moonlight bulbs?
