every time i open my panthers cage he immidetly trys to come out. He will climb to the top and walk out on the screen door and stay there. He has been doing this every time i open the cage to the point that he is more interested in going out then the food im putting in

Yea i ended up just having a few sticks stick about 2ft out into the room as a cham play pen so he could look around. he ended up sleeping on them.

Can you be specific with your cage setup? Lights, type of enclosure and size, temps, humidity levels?

Sometimes this can be a sign something is not right with the husbandy

exo terra 10.0 100w day lamp 85deg bask 2x2x4 screened cage 70 to 74 deg rest of cage . dont know humidity but im dripping and misting with a mist king 5 times a day 10 min ea mist. thanks

can it be he just wants to wander or misses the summer sunshine. he has not been outside since september

He could just be getting used to his new home... at that age they do also like to explore so having some kind of SUPERVISED free-range outside his cage with some tree's/vines is a good idea.

Also bringing them outside in the summer time while supervised is great for them too

We just learned about the dangers of birds so if you take your cham outside then you should check for birds
