Color of Cham when sleeping

The color of my cham when he's sleeping is grayish pink with pink stripes, is that the color he shows when he is most comfortable? I ask because the other day my 3 month old cham was on my finger and he was gray with black stripes but then after a few min he turned pinkish gray, does that mean he felt safe being on me? Usually every time I go over to his cage he turns gray with black and shades away from me but most of the time he just chills.

Also would to much crickets in the cage make him uncomfortable?

welll how long have u had him? myn just came around to his cage and stopped being brown all the time.]

try not to have excess crickets in his cage when he wont eat thme.... otherwise he probly sees a bunch of crickets and thinks "f yeah buffet!!"

you should try your best to avoid left over food in the cage. (crickets will eat your cham, super worms can burrow and pupate in live plants, silkworms can go missing an web in the cage (not bad, but certainly VERY hard to clean up). just a few reasons why.

i cant answer your initial question, though what kind of chameleon are we talking about? either way, if the chameleon is nice, light and vibrant in color, there shouldn't be anything to worry about, darker chams at night i would watch and see if the temps are too cold.
