cockroaches previously fed on dog food

I picked up some cockroaches at the pet shop today & I found what looked like a dog biscuit in the container. I took it out & replaced it with rocket. Does anyone know how many days it'll be before they're suitable for my chams?

I admire you for your bravery. Hope you have put Vaseline round the top of the container to stop them climbing.

I would give them a few days and then remove what you want to feed off and gut load them well.
