Chronic ovarian inflammatory disease...

Interesting article, though definitely outside my experience level :). Are they saying the best ways to prevent this problem are breeding or spaying?

The close contacts of the female chameleon with the male or the preventive surgical therapy (e.g. ovariectomy) are the two most common options recommended for the effective management of POFS in veterinary clinical practice
 
I think they mean those are the best ways to handle it when it happens....but I'm not sure I agree with the male contact because by the time the female has the problem I think it's too late to be solved by the male's presence.
