I try and really stay on top of my Chameleon husbandry , and take it very seriously. today I had what I would call a medium to large sized hornworm. My male jacksons is a WC adult, very hardy and strong. I figured i would offer the worm and if he looked like it was to big or he was having trouble I would take it from him. As soon as he saw it he hit it with his toungue and began to chew it, he seemed to have a little trouble but once he started chewing on it seemed to go down, everything looked fine, he was vibrant green and active. About an hour or so later I was checking on my Chams. and I see my male with his mouth open and the horn worm hanging 1/2 way out, he was not choking but looked like he was chewing on it, I immediately reached in and just pulled it out of his mouth, the whole thing came out (a little chewed on) but intact. I than sprayed him with my bottle and he bagan to drink. I handled him for a bit, he was climbing all around and has a real strong grip. Put him back in the cage and now he is sleeping. I will keep an eye on him, he seems fine. I will stick to small to med hornworms from now on, Is there anything else I should keep an eye on ?
