Chameleon Vet in the Bay Area - Recs ASAP Please

Hello everyone,

I unfortunately just heard that my new little guy has Coccidia. 40+ instances. So, I'm clearly taking him into a vet ASAP, which is Friday morning. This vet (new vet) said that one of the things I can do in the meantime is make sure he has a basking spot of 90-95. He's only three months old.

Despite her saying she has experience with exotics and reptiles, this really concerns me as I understand the proper basking spot for a baby is closer to 3 months.

Does anyone know any reputable vets in the Bay Area I could call?

Thank you

Willing to go to Livermore? That my reptile vet

By any chance did you go to if you went to wildwood in Redwood City I would find a better vet. That was my old vet and she claimed my veiled was coccidia free and a year later I found out he wasn’t
Dr. Ken Harkewicz at Berkeley Dog and Cat is phenomenal. Best in the Bay Area. Dr. Lankes is ok for regular visits/easy fixes. Dr. Lynne Lankes at Heritage Veterinary near Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa.

If you say that Dr. Ken Harkewicz then no hesitation from me! I'll be giving him a call tomorrow. It's also not too far from me in SF. Thank you both for the info!

Wow-- Dr. Ken Harkewicz's bio looks amazing! Hope your cham is okay!

If you urgently need a vet in SF and can't cross the bridge (which I hope this won't happen), I'd recommend Dr. Rockwell at VCA All Pets on Van Ness in the Mission as backup. Here's her bio: https://vcahospitals.com/all-pets/team/kelly-rockwell :)
