chameleon shed in eye

i wrote previously about my chameleons shed being in his eye, i gave longer mistings but one of his eyes looks red sometimes and then sometimes covered abit with shed, im really worried if this is painful for him i’m not sure what it is, should i get him eye drops? is there any anyone recommends? should i take him to the vet???

when i was trying to remove some shed with water and an earbud it just won’t come off and i’m worried i’m irritating him, his eye puffed out and looked really bad, it went small again really quick but when i was searching for solutions and looked again it wasn’t as red and i could see his eye and the shed

please advise, im a first time owner and would hate for this to be hurting him

his other eye is okay as seen in the pics above, a small amount of shedding but his right eye seems to be having issues

It looks like an eye infection, in which case he needs a visit with a good vet. It may not be shed that is covering his eye, but dried eye goo.

i’m really confused cause i’ve looked again and it looks fine now?? do you still think it’s an infection or could it of been the shed?? should i still take him to the vets??

I would probably wait and monitor his eyes closely. Anything close to out of the ordinary and I’d be making a vet appointment.
