Chameleon refuses to eat live food

Recently, I went on holiday and left several locusts in my veiled chameleon's cage to provide him with food and asked my nan to clean and spray the cage for the week that I was gone. When I came back he refused to eat any locusts however, he is still drinking and eating the lettuce and apple slices I leave in his cage. It's been 6 days since he last ate a locust and I don't know what to do as he looks healthy but, I'm worried if I leave him any longer he'll get MBD or something like that.

Chameleons can be picky eaters and it's important to offer them a larger variety of feeders.
If you have been only feeding him locust try something different, there are crickets, dubia roaches, superworms, waxworms, silkworms, phoenixworms and more.... Variety is the spice of life.

I've bought some crickets but he just doesn't seem interested in them when I hold them near him or put them in his cage.

Can you catch any dragonfly’s or moths? They tend to bring out their inner predator, they can’t resist! If not get some large BSFL larva and put them in your viv to hatch.
