Chameleon leaving eyes shut during day

Ive owned a (I'm guessing) 3 month old veiled chameleon, for about 3 three weeks. She stays in a medium sized cage with plenty of fake plants and a water fall gizmo for drinking. The tempeture is usually about 80 and the humidity no lower then 40. But our apartment is colder than usual and it was hard to maintain a heat above 70. To warm her up I put her red night light in instead of the vitamin b bulb. Now she is very docile and was hard to wake this morning as well as when I came back from school. Later in the day I found her laying near the ground with her eyes closed. She has barley had her eyes open the whole day. I haven't seen her eat but we have feed her. Could she be trying to lay eggs? Or could it be that we started giving her meal worms too?

She is too young to lay eggs. She must have the uvb bulb. They need that to survive. doyou see her drinking out of the waterfall? Is that your only way you provide hydration?. If you don't see her drink, she could be dehydrated. They are not recommended as they harbor bacteria. She needs both a basking light and a uvb light. mealworms should have nothing to do with her closing her eyes.

Do you have a uvb light on her during the day?

You need to fill out the 'How to ask for help' form. It's in this forum, should be near the top in the thread titled 'How to ask for help'. Fill that out and include pictures if you can. This will give everyone a better idea of her environment and history so we can better guess what is going on with her. Please do this now, as I am worried about her if she hasn't been awake all day and won't stay awake. Best of luck to you.
