Chameleon Keeps RubbinG Her Eye on branch!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed s:confused:he was rubbing her eye against the branch he was standing on, and it looked like there was a big air bubble or something underneath the skin around his right eye.
 
Could you please fill out this for as detailed as possible?

* Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
* Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
* History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.


Cage Info:

* Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
* Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
* Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
* Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?

* Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?.....large crickets 3-4 every day and wax or super worms 1 every 3 days....
* Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?.....rep-cal herptivite.....and flukers calcium with vitaminD3....
* Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?/little dripper and rain effect yes.....i seen her drinking out of the cup the lil dripper falls in two days ago
* Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?....yellow and black with a white tip......idk
* History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you....she came from the repti expo in NY

What is your daily lighting schedule? reptisun 5.0 12 hours on 12 hours off* Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?....highest it gets in cage maybe 80-82 lowest at night 70-72
* Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?...30-40% when misting 80-90%
* Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?...pothos
* Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?.....in corner near window 6ft frm floor im 5ft 5
* Location - Where are you geographically located? NJ USA
 
It sounds like you need to increase the hydration and humidity. She could have retained shed in her eyes, and if you aren't misting her cage daily, and she is indoors and you have an AC on, the humidity would be too low. Also, the fecal color should be brown with white urates, yellow is usually only seen with dehydration and it sounds like there is mostly yellow from your description. I would mist her heavily for a while, like a 30 minute shower to start, which should help loosen up any skin that is in her eye, then mist her two more times in the day for about 5 minutes each time.
 
thANKS FOR the great info 1 more thing she hates getting out of her enclosure so whats the best thing to get her out and she dont come out for food either and if i do get bite does it really hurt that bad would u say it hurts more then a parakeets bite?
 
Yep, under the belly and lift gently. At least if she bites the vine it doesn't hurt you, right?
 
nice long warm misting sessions will give the cham time to clean out it's eye. It is odd looking as they inflate it and move it around.. this is OK.
