Chameleon Hide Outs

Hello

I'm just tossing a coin over whether or not I should do this cause I don't know if it would be effective...

However what do people usually use for a Chameleon 'Hide Out'?

Do you just create an area with vines/branches that is densely packed with foliage but not so dense that the chameleon cannot get in (or out) but dense enough so that the chameleon is out of sight and away from light?

Or do you use other things like an actual physical thing for example I am looking at a hollowed out log which I could suspend in elevation which I wonder if a vine was running through it would a chameleon go into it to escape the light/sight and perhaps even with some foliage over the logs exterior?

I guess to simplify the question: Would a chameleon use a hollowed out item for a hide or be happier in dense foliage, if both kept it hidden and away from light?

Cheers for any tips! :)

Your cage should be thickly foliaged, with horizontal paths at differing heights. That is why I use Pathos, it grows like a weed, and I can keep the back 1/2 of the cage unseeable by me at the front.

He won't go in a log.

CHEERS!

Thanks for the swift response.

And Thanks for clearing that up, the log is just pointless, so I will foliage the terrarium full of green! :D
