Chameleon Handling

I am sure this question has been asked 1000 times but my search on the site was not able to find the answer so sorry.

Is it ok to handle chameleons? Have them sit on you? Interact with them physically or is it just better to leave them in the cage all the time and just look at them?

Hi! I think you kinda need to let the Cham decide. Some ate friendly and done are not you can try a moderate amount of handling and see how it goes. Often, they will put up a big show hissing and gaping at you, but once they're our are quite sweet. If your chameleon wants to come out and goes to your hand willingly then it's on to interact a bit more. They don't really like people as such, usually it's more of a tolerance for humans!
