Chameleon climbs the cage wall after a poop

I've had Steve for the past month and a half. He is a panther chameleon about 7 months old. For the past month or so, there's one behavior that I find quite strange. Generally, Steve spends his time basking and rarely moving other than going to his feeder to eat, dodging misting sessions, and going to his sleeping spot. One thing that I have been consistently seeing is that he becomes very active after a poop to the point that he's climbing the cage walls. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas why?

My veiled climbs around his cage walls as well, but I havent noticed it happening directly after he poops. Just make sure to clean out any poop or dead insects daily but otherwise I think its normal behavior
