Hi guys!
So when I got Kiwi in August he was a baby, and shed multiple times, like expected for a growing Cham. His last shed was 10Sep2021.
Since then, he seems to have gotten darker in color, I assumed it was to keep warm since it’s getting colder (his basking used to be almost 85, but now that it’s cold it usually only gets up to 77-80). Then the past month I thought it was because he was stressed, I’ve noticed him puffing up, opening his mouth, and holding a foot up when there was nothing happening other than him chilling in his cage. A few times I thought he was about to shed because his skin seemed dull and he was acting sassy, but never did.
The past few days I’ve seen him rubbing his face against a branch like he does when he sheds, except he isn’t currently shedding. Now I’m thinking he wants to shed but can’t? I don’t know how to help or if it’s nothing to worry about.
Other then that concern he is eating well, drinking, pooping daily, and very active. I’ve added photos over the course of the past few months. Anything helps!
