hay i was wondering should i be worried if my chams fall???i mean they dont have mbd or any thing like that...but for an example when i put my veiled in her new cage she got a bit more shy and trys to runn from my in her new bigger cage ..im guessing its because she has more room...but she missed a branch and fell from almost the top of her cage:eek:...poor girl..or are the kinda built to fall from some where high???

yes from what I have read they are designed to take falls and I believe it because my cham has taken a few out on my patio from high up. I have rectified the problem areas where he fell, but although he freaked me out, that was quite some time ago and he was never injured. Not saying, that they cannot get injured falling though. I read where a member wrote that their cham fell off of a curtain rods up way high to the floor and was not injured.

Depending on what they hit on the way down and what they land on, they can sometimes injure themselves...but in many years of keeping chameleons I can only remember 2 being damaged enough to end up at the vets.
