Cham cant swallow?

Whenever my chameleon tries to swallow, he stands up at a 90 degree angle and it takes him a while to swallow the food. Also after he swallows he opens his mouth and makes a hissing noise.

Is these a problem in his throat or is this normal?

No, not normal at all. Maybe he has a problem with his tongue and that is why he cannot swallow. Have you tried to look inside of his mouth?? Does he gape, when he is not eating???

How big are your feeders? How old is your cham and what size feeders does he get? Is he gaping when NOT eating?

Yeah I think he might have a problem with his mouth, Im taking him to the vet tomorrow to get it checked out. He makes a hissing noise sometimes too and opens his mouth really wide.
