Cham browsing

So its been almost 2 months since I have really decided I want to get a chameleon after not owning one for several years and finally taking action. enclosure build has started and is nearly complete can be seen here https://www.chameleonforums.com/first-enclosure-120008/, Today i went browsing to see what a potential breeder has. (pics below)

What you guys think so far? Quality isnt the greatest stupid phone pics..., these are only 3 of some of the older ones I got pictures of. Breeder had probably closer to 30. some babies, some several months old. some 8-10 months (last 2 pics) and very few older (first pic) Figured pics of the older ones might give some light on potential colours the younger may have. I aimed to get one about 4-6 months but guess ill go up to a 10 month male as well.

I'm not quite ready to buy yet and we have a show in town next weekend where he plans to get rid of most of them if he can :(

oh forgot to mention he said about 300 for the male ambilobe's would throw in a female with its enclosure and lights for additional 150. Should be a steal right? just not sure how i feel like a pair right from the get go wasn't the plan and not sure about space and stuff. However my brother may be insterested in splitting costs and taking the female and maybe breed.

Got to discuss that idea

Welcome to the forums. Any pictures of your finished enclosure? All the guys in your photos look healthy. I'd recommend staring with a male and then once you learn more about chameleons, if you still want a female you could get one in the future. The females are harder to keep because of the egg laying. I'm linking my blog for new keepers below. I hope it will help you to keep your new Cham healthy and happy.

Enclosure isnt finished yet got alot going on preparing my room to be painted and redone. Working on finishing the enclosure actually just finished putting another coat of varathane before i get around to the meshing. Forgot to mention I plan on getting a male right from the get go because of their colours. Female was just a possibility with the offer hes giving me. I believe ive actually skimmed over your blog im on this forum wayyyy to much lol.

Thanks on the feedback on how the guys in my picture look and I'll add pics of the finished enclosure once its done and hopefully get my little guy soon.

Went to check out another breeder selling nosy faly/ambilobe crosses. Here's some pics of what he's got. Opinions?
Believe all sired by the red guy. 3 others they should be ages 1yr 5 months, 2/3months

With chams, try to p/up only what you have prepped for. they aren't exactly like snakes or etc., they can suffer from those added days of locating everything you need. the first breeder is expensive. i sell my ambilobe babies to stores for about $50. He probably shouldn't be charging you more than $200, unless they have a great pedigree. i like the cross babies from the second breeder. offer him a $100 & run. nosy babies are pretty easy to tame and keep tame.

Dont actually have any intention to buy until I am fully set up and ready to go, just been through a number of setbacks. I could be mistaken but I believe alot of people in my area sell for 2-350 for them. The 2nd breeder for 150$ knows hes selling for a really cheap price. Was unbelievable how relaxed all of his chams were. Ill keep this post updated during my searches and what I finally get as well as updating my build.
