Cham’s been sitting in this one spot for over an hour

Sorry for asking so many questions recently. Just wanna make sure my little guys okay! He’s been sitting here for over an hour, a little bit dark. Boyfriend said he saw him move his throat up and down. Does he look okay/healthy??

It wasn’t his basking spot we just added that stick there earlier. Could he just be making it his new basking spot? It’s more direct to the heat lamp than his original basking spot
Possibly that is it. When basking, my chams don’t move around a whole lot…unless they see me and come to the front of their enclosures hoping I have food.

Gotcha. Thanks! Is it normal for them to have dark black/red streaks while basking? I know they get dark to soak in heat, but is it supposed to be those colors?
 
Looks like your little boy is developing his big boy colors and patterns. Those will always be with him, although you will notice very definite changes in brightness based on temp, excitement, etc.

If I remember correctly, my guy tended to be a little brighter most of the time when he was a baby/juvenile.
