Help?!
Hey there, We picked up a Veiled chameleon in Janruary of this year. Since then Rango ( our Veiled Chameleon ) has shed several times, grown a fair bit and has been very active.
However The other day he was basking in the sun in the window and began acting quite strange. His musles were sort of twitching and his little feet were clamped closed.
I imediately removed him from the window and laid him on a cool ( not cold ) cloth in fear he simply got too warm in the sun.
It took him a few mins but he came around just fine. He is eating , drinking and still very active but I do notice that sometimes his limbs go sort of funny and i see his muscles twitching a bit.
those are the Only symptoms he has. He is having regular bowel movements and urinating a nice white.
He loves to roam about all over the plants and windows in my office and loves to perch on the curtain holders or even the curtain rod for a nap.
His nasal passage is clear, no access fluid or bubbles in his mouth. His colour is great its simply in how his musles seem to twitch a bit and how he walks that has me concerned.
He is fed at the same time every evening and his crickets are dusted with Reptivite with D3 which is what the pet store instructed us to do.
If you can offer any suggestions I would be happy to hear them. Thanks!!!
so use d3 and reptivite at the same time or separate days? i mist the cage twice a day. I'm using the bulbs that came in the chameleon kit they sell at petco and petsmart. its a blue uva i believe and a fluorescent
