Hi guys I would like some ideas and opinions on what to use as a substrate in my yeman set up, would clay cat litter be a good idea? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Paper towel

The only thing that I would recommend using is paper towel. Cat litter maybe ingested, which could cause impaction, not to mention other issues if there are any deodorizing chemicals on it.

No. Nothing. Paper towel/ kitchen roll if you want something.
Yemen/veiled chams like to eat stuff other than insects, or even by accident shooting for a bug get some and become impacted.

Nothing is best.

Clay cat-litter is about the worst substrate for any lizard. It is non-digestible, sticks like magic to the tiniest contact with moisture (moist lizard tongues for example), pulls moisture out of the air (lowers humidity) is dusty (think about magic sticks to moisture dust coating lizard lungs and eyes and digestive system).
