Carpet Chameleons

Hi,

I have a carpet and I am questioning the sex. I was told she is a female, but her tail base ia making me second guess.

I would like to purchase a mate and want to be sure that I buy the correct sex!

Also, as for colors, only green with stripe down center.

Note that she was hatched 10/26/09 and this pic was taken over a month ago.

I think a picture that shows the base of the tail would help.

I can't really tell from that pic sorry mate. Male lats have a very easy to spot bulge in the tail by the vent though if that helps.

Carpets aka jewel chameleons

I use to breed carpet chameleons and i have to say it was some time ago. To what i remember all males are green in color with a white stripe along the side of their bodies, and the females will have a flat black, white, with red, and yellow dotted pattern. I even witness my female a semi gloss black color when gravid, and she even turned a brilliant white with other colors in it's pattern and for what reason i don't know. I thought this will be helpfull.
