CANV...veiled chameleon...

Is CANV always fatal? Why can’t they excise or remove the spot if it’s not large?

No...it's not always fatal but it needs to be treated ASAP. It's fatal if not treated. It also seems to be fatal more often in some species of reptiles than in others...like beardies for example..even when the Himalayas is treated.

I'm not sure if why it isn't excised or removed...can't remember for sure ...but I'll see if I can find out. (The original study done by Dr. Pare involved two of my WC chameleons that came in with it.)
