Need some opinions...

So I'm not sure if I'm over doing it. I am setting up Diego's new cage 16 deep by 24 wide x 30 high cage. Here's what I putting inside... 1 large grape wood branch about 24 inches or so long & w/ several branch offs, several single 24 inch long branches w/ fake vine around them, a ficus plant, small & large jungle vine wrapped around each other & fake vine leafs to go around the jungle vine. So I'm wonder could there be too much in the cage? What do you guys think?
TIA!!!!!!!!!
Also getting the Mist king ultimate system, just ordered it... okay that was off subject but I'm excited!!!:D

Will do... so far only have the ficas & large grape wood vine branch & it seems like a lot already before the other stuff goes in. That 6 foot jungle vine is huge & I'm thinking maybe I will need to cut it down that is if you can. I'm not gonna put the single branches in until after we receive & install mist king :). I'm using the same branches from his smaller cage that he is currently in so I'll do that last. I will post it soon though, Thanks for reply!!!

It depends how your going to situate things, like say if you focus too much on his basking spot the rest of the cage is quite bare. So im saying if you situate it accurately you probably can never have too much

Thanks! I do plan on having a bit of everything everywhere but wasn't sure If I should leave some areas more bare. I will have to posts pics when done & see what everyone thinks :)

you can never have too many walkways as long as the cage is balanced!

post pictures, its always easier to get encolsure help and questions answered with pcitures

Grapewood branch... yes or no???

Okay now I'm wondering if the grapewood is a good idea to have in the cage  I put Diego in the shower, for his first shower, & used a plant along with the grapewood branch. It really seemed to absorb the water & now I'm wondering will it get moldy with all the misting. hummm??? I know they are used in Iguana enclosures but are the good for the cham enclosure??? I will have his enclosure ready by the end of the week, that is as long as I receive the mist king by then. I wondering if maybe I should remove that branch. Does any one use them or have heard if they are a good branch to use or not? Thanks!!!!!!!!

IMO grapewood probably wont be the best idea because of the absorbing water and more than mold it can breed bacteria, I recommend just sticking to the ficus and vines my favorite are the exo terra brand

Here's the cage w/ ficus & grapewood... just the start & know looks like I may need to remove the grapewood. I will update pic when complete. In the mean time anyone ever use grapewood or does this look like a big no no? TIA!

I think the grapewood looks fine and is fine to use in your cage. I don't know about the bacteria thing since I have not used it but does it dry out between mistings? If I may suggest, you can also use a few of those flexible vines toward the top area. I'm working on mine right now so I feel you, lol!:D Good luck!

Jungle vine... got it! It's 6 foot long & looks huge. I got the small & large then wraped them around each other. I bought fishing line (not sure if its the best coice or not) to hold up the vine to the cage screen as I wrap the vine around the cage. I'm gonna kinda put the fishing line though the cage screen & wrap it around the vine & back out of the cage then tie up on outside... hope it works. Also have more fake vines & an extra ficus, if I do remove the grapewood branch I can add the ficus, along with his smaller branches & more fake vines from his current cage that are being moved into this one.

Thanks... Had it custom make for him outta plexiglass from a sketch I did :D
It catches the water drip off from the cage bottom & I'm gonna get one of those things they use to transfer water from one fish tank to another. When it fills up a little I will put that in there & empty in bucket... still not sure how good that will work exactly, but the drip pan is light weight & can be picked up, dumped & cleaned easily as well. Which I will do even if the water fish tank thingy does work!

Oh and where did you get that cool tray at the bottom? How does it work?

Awesome, sounds like a plan to me!:) Fishing line, now why didn't I think of that?! I used a sowing needle and thread to do that, lol! I'm sure the fishing line will hold up for a while versus my string. Hmmm... i'll have to switch that out. Lol!:p I need more plans! Pass one over, yeah? Lol!;)

That sounds like a plan... We can keep each other updated as we put our lil guys cages together. If we find something works really good, we need to share :) I'm wondering if I can tie a knot with the fishing line that won't slip, if not maybe my hubby can or I call my fisherman dad!
