Came home from work today, and this is what I see...

My first reaction was "OMG NO! HE'S DEAD!" all pale white and in that position..
Seconde reaction "he must be sick!"
Then I misted his cage and gave him 3 flies, they where all eaten in a couple of minutes.
So I guess he's okay :D

Is it normal that they bask this way?

(FYI i'm about too clean the plants today, wash of all the calcium powder of the plants)

This is my new little Nosy Be girl, Penny. She keeps in shape by going to the top and doing little tiny chameleon pull ups.

That's normal :) They lay sideways sometimes to increase their surface area facing the light. I saw a member once post a photo of their panther outside, completely black and laying sideways on the ground absorbing the sun's heat. It almost gave her a heart attack, but he just wanted to absorb more heat/light!

They all do it.
Its ok.

trust me, they will do things that will drive you crazy, pull your hair out.

:D

This is what my Yemen cham likes to do too.
He turns into a dark pancake and flops over, first cooks one side, then the other!! LOL!!

Scared me to death the first time I saw him do it

haha sweet :)
If I'm not wrong basking upside down might be a sign of your temps being too low. Just saying ;)

Ah thanks for the heads up everyone! :D Then I can be calm!
My heart almost stopped for a seconde! Guess I just need to get used to all those crazy things :D Guess i'm overprotective, as many others....

One of the members posted a video of a brand new hatchling 'dying' as soon as it felt threatened, just went stiff and keeled over in the vermiculite! So cute.
