California Pepper Tree Branches

Hello everyone. I have a male Veiled Chameleon. Almost a year old. Anyway I've got a nice cage set up for him but wanted to add some more branches for him. I've got a large California Pepper tree that I have to trim and some of the branches look awesome. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the branches would be toxic. I would get rid of all leaves and tiny branches plus remove any loose bark and bake them. I just don't want something that might harm him.

Thanks!

Anthony

Via wikipedia: "The fruit and leaves are, however, potentially poisonous to poultry, pigs and possibly calves. Records also exist of young children who have experienced vomiting and diarrhea after eating the fruit."

IMO, if you are just using branches, don't worry about it.
