So ATM i have a 18x18x36 would it be even worth getting 24x24x48 or should I build a custom one I was looking at screening and its abit costly

Depends on what you want. Some have built enclosures from PVC and screen for around $40, and some have gone crazy and spent hundreds and hundreds to get just what they wanted. There are some good cages on the market and lots of options. All depends on your budget and needs!

By the 24x24x48 cage , do you mean the reptibreeze extra large? If so, how large and old is your chameleon, and what species is he/she. The larger breeds like an Oustalet's, Panther, and Meller's chameleon might do better in the customized cage only because you can set up which height, width, and depth the cage will have. Hut if you have an adult for another species like a Jackson's, Carpet, or Flap-Necked chameleon, they would do perfectly in a 24x24x48 cage or in what you have now. If you own a mid sized, adult chameleon like a Veiled/Yemen, Fischer's, or Parson's chameleon, the choice is up to you. I never owned a chameleon but I've been doing a ton of research for the past 8 months. I hope I helped, and let me know the answer to the questions above. It would help other members and me out to determine the right cage for you.:)

if i was able to build one myself...
i would build something 36x24x(60 or 72 for the height)
these guys would definitely love more height when they are
fully grown :D

that' me and i may do it, but my cham is only
about 4 months, so i have time to figure it out ;)

I have a female veiled she is about 6-7 months old...The main problem is I have her lying bed in there and want to and more things and ATM it seems to tight and cleaning it becomes more off a pain rear...So it would have to be metal no mesh and like to keep it under $200
Just thought about this what if I bought the same cage I have now, And screwed them together and cut the screen? Or would she perfer more height and or over all size?

i love what you did there, genius!!! :D:D:D

i think u should add a real nice ficus and a real nice pothos, your cham is lucky to have a thoughtful keeper. ;)

Thank you, It was rather cheap too cage was $62 plus tax :D ...Only problem I noticed with getting a Ficus is aren't they mainly 3 foot plus?

I like how you put them together also. Maybe you could elevate the cage to give more height. I think you should put an umbrella plant in there on the left.
