i have a LLL 18x18x36 screen cage and i have real ficus and a bunch of fake vines in there. the question is when you do your deep cleaning, how do you clean the cage w/o removing everything and having to put it back together?

i've read all the posts about cleaning but i'm just wondering how you have your viv configured...do you have it so that the plant can be removed w/o the vines and branches having to be removed?

the way mine is set up at the moment, i would have to remove everything in order to do a deep cleaning.

thanks!

I have plants on the bottom half of the cage and vines that goes from the plants to the top and sides on the upper side of the cage. I don't know if by deep cleaning you mean cleaning the vines too, cause I only have mine for 2 weeks. I do clean all the remains that fall on the artificial plants and vines.

I personally plan on cleaning my guys dwelling every Sunday. I plan on removing everything and scrubbing things down. Maybe I'll be going overboard but I would rather keep thing clean to reduce the chance of any heath problems.

Do the chameleons get any stress from the cage not being exactly the same as it was before the cleaning...ie. Basking spot, rearranged branches, etc.

I had my first deep clean yesterday and quite a lot was moved around as I took all the substrate out and all of the low fake plants. A lot was knocked during this so his vines are in slightly different positions, he was definitely a bit stressed at first but he's settled quite fast.

I plan on giving little Cletus a shower while I clean to make sure he's hydrated. Plus im thinking with the curtain closed he should be ok alone for a few minutes.
