Started simple, pitched the platform back 5/8ths and put a simple drainage run in the back out of bent aluminum pitched 1 1/2 inch on a 7ft run so should be good with a drip cap. Got to seal the wood with something safe or just a sheet of hard plastic cut to fit. Going to frame 3 cages on top then build a cage for my savannah monitor underneath it’s still in the making though.
I prefer the plastic lining idea. I think it will stand up to water longer. The minute you staple or nail in the screens you compromise the paint or coating you choose.

Finally got around to finishing one cage. I didn’t coat anything it’s natural pine I’m just going to let it warp I used all stainless finish nails and staples no rust
