Need help with choosing the right screen for my new build. I know it's best to use a charcoal aluminum screen. But I've seen aluminum screen and aluminum screen mesh for cheaper. Just need some help picking the right one

Charcoal aluminium screen is super cheap?

10 dollars.

I think last time I got some from home Depot, same size was newyork or something brand, was like 6.88. same size, which you will need 2.

You don't have to use charcoal, the silver color one is still annodized, just not as "Invisible" as the black stuff.

You can also get 1/4 hardware cloth. Stuff is hard to work with, and let's bugs in not just out. You can get PVC coated 1/4, and there was a nylon coated one (stronger, they said) but I forget the site. Those are big rolls and expensive though, cheap 1/4 in galvanized only from home store's, but you can paint it.

If you will not be free ranging bugs, id go with 1/2" spacing hardware cloth. Either aluminum or pvc coated steel. If you go with 1/2" spacing, then its easier to climb on the sides, and you dont have to worry about nails getting stuck.

Ive got a 8ft long cage from the 1990's that was made with this stuff, still no rust.
Stupid question but this will hold up overtime against the everyday misting it might get hit by?

Yes its pvc coated and galvanized. Its outdoor fencing. Even the reptibreeze XL is just galvanized steel, and they just rust "a little".
