Which do you prefer? Brand name and which kind or handmade.

I would love to design and make one.

I would love a three compartment cage at least 8' long 4' high 2' wide
But what would I use to separate the enclosures? How would I frame it? What kind of screen would I use???? hmmmm....

Anyone have any blueprints? suggustions?

I have a Zoo Med reptibreeze at the moment and am happy with the stability and overall quality. I've heard complaints about rusting over time though but have seen no signs yet. (A little over a month in this cage)

With that said I am a woodworker and in general love to build stuff and am contemplating an Italianate Chameleon cage to match my house. There are quite a few neat Victorian bird cage designs to borrow style from. Even if you don't want specialty cages and you have the time and willingness to try I would think building your own would be cheaper and likely better.

HAND MADE CAGES ALL THE WAY only cause u can make it the way u want and the sense of completion at the end is awesome

Brand Name!!! Get one with Louis Vuitton prints on the screen! :D

lol

I have a Zilla fresh Air Screened habitat for Nelson and do like it. I would love to make a long cage to go against the wall in my living room to house at least three maybe four chameleons. (lol) I didn't really want to buy another cage I would prefer to make one to suit.... Nelson needs a taller cage anyways...

I made mine from 1" aluminum angle and aluminum screen. You can get it all from Home depot, but that is the more costly place to pick it up. I would suggest contacting local metal supply shops for better price. It is all riveted together with 102 3/16 rivets.

But if you're really handy I think you should give it a go! It'll save you some money, and be a great project! Here's a video from one of the members here on how to build screen cages! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnNl5IMXFCI

I tried this guys method and for the most part it worked made a few minor changes. Also found a way better way to screen the panels. If you go this route just PM me for the details, trust me it'll make it wwwwwaaaaayyyy easier.
