I need info about this species, because I wanting to get some from Hamm.

-I am interested to see some pictures of juveniles and adult male/female if someone have or can send some link.
-Also what is the maximum size of male/female?
-Cage size?
-Are they only together for mating or can live comunally?
-What temperatures are ideal for them? I heard that they need big temp drop during the night so I want to check it?
-Humidity?
-Some useful links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello, this is my first post but i have read plenty of information the past month so i know im capable of giving you the information you need.

-I am interested to see some pictures of juveniles and adult male/female if someone have or can send some link.
Search Google for Panther Chameleons and go to Images or you can check out one of my favorite sites that have the nicest (IMO) chameleons www.screameleons.com
-Also what is the maximum size of male/female?
Males grow to be around 18-20 inches Females are a little smaller 14-16'
-Cage size?
Cage size differsMales need a bit of a bigger space then females (adults that is), youll have to get different size cages depending on their age, as a baby you'll need something small. As they grow to around 4-5 months a good size (which is what i have) is 24x24x36, and adults need more room usually hight more then anything else, and make sure its ventilated good.
-Are they only together for mating or can live comunally?
Chameleons should be housed in different cages. They dont work well together only when mating.
-What temperatures are ideal for them? I heard that they need big temp drop during the night so I want to check it?
Temp should be around 90-95 for basking and 78-85 for the rest of the cage. At night it is heatlhy for a chameleon to have the temp dropped down to 70's. so ive read.

-Humidity?
Humidity should be around 55 when not misting and 70 when misting, you can keep a ultrasonic humidifier near your cage if you need more humidity in your room.
-Some useful links would be greatly appreciated.

www.flchams.com

these are all breeders and from the pictures ive seen on there web site made me want to get a panther chameleon. hope this was helpful, this was my first post, correct me if im wrong with anything

Rudis are MUCH smaller. 6 to 8 inches I think, total length. Cooler temps, High humidity. Go to adcham and click on species. Oh, Short life span. 2 or 3 years and I think they can live communally if cage is big enough. www.adcham.com

Try and get CB because you know how old they are and you don't have to worry about parasites.:)

haha! i am quick draw McGraw! j/k

i couldnt help but post some links when i saw that first post

Damn, i feel so stupid.. and i though i was helping.. sorry for wasting your time if u read any part of my post :p

Thanks all, but I know for adcham and I know you missed the thread, but no worry, I am experienced in reptiles so I couldn't make mistake reading those links and stuff :)

Anyway, I would like to hear someones personal experience with lifespawn and temps for those guys?

Hello NS.

How 'bout some real answers from someone who has actually kept the giant jeweled red rudis (pics to follow) and not just someone who can copy/paste. I have not kept the regular rudis sternfeldi but care is similar or the same.

Maximum size: 6-8 inches snout to tail tip
Cage size: I kept mine in the 22gal reptariums. (30x14x14) Males are slightly more active than the females so a larger cage might be beneficial but I don't think is necessary.
Single/communal: I believe them to be a communal chameleon, but I kept the sexes separately. Gravid females are aggressive towards the males and should be separated to ease their stress levels. My usual standard warning to people: if you do not have extensive chameleon experience already, do not attempt to keep chameleons communally. Separate is better for the animals and owner!
Temps: 80F max during the day. 60-70F overnights.
Humidity: 70-80% during the day. 100% overnights.
