Burnt Chameleon tail

I have a Veiled Chameleon which is almost 3 years old, i bought her a new enclosure 2 weeks ago, and it required that the lamp be inside. After leaving her to get to know her home better, came back after my lecture and discovered that her tailed had been burnt from the lamp. I have my basking branch low down but she has discovered the new joy of climbing the fake background scenery and she must of done that to the top of the enclosure. In any case I took her to the vet and he gave me some salve to put on her against infection but today i see more of her tail is getting discolored and she hasnt shed since this accident either ive included some pictures of her tail and her cage setup if you see any improvements.
