Bump in mouth

Wow I have been checking on this thread. 40 people have looked and not one response??? I wish someone would respond one way or another because I would like to know also! I would pm Ferrittinmyshoes. I am sure she will get back to you as soon as she has the time. If you do find out will you let me know? Just for the future, if I ever see it again I will know if it is normal or not. I checked my one chameleon's mouth again. I held my phone up to him and he always opens his mouth cause he does not like it. I could not see any bumps like that, but he did not open his mouth that wide either!

OK ..I looked twice and I did not see a bump... I did not respond because I was not sure since I am kind of new. I wanted to respond just so that you knew why i did not respond last time. However I have been watching to see what someone else might say so I could try to see what the other member saw.
sorry I am not much help.

Are you guys talking about the bumps on either side of the inside of the mouth at the back of the mandible (lower jaw)? Those are just the muscles for the jaw that you don't see unless the mouth is open really wide. Most people don't get that picture so it looks funny, but it's normal.

lol! Yes!! Thank you for responding! I am the one who started this whole thing because I saw the two bumps and quite honestly I never saw them before. I looked in my chameleons mouth and did not see them. They are there now I am sure, but maybe not as pronounced. Mystery solved!!! Thanks Dayna! Glad it turned out to be nothing and now I know what they are!

Yeah, i've seen them when one of mine goes crazy and opens their mouth really really wide. I was looking at this last night, but I didn't see any unusual bumps, so I was confused. I thought it was goung to be about mouthrot or an infection.
