Does MBD cause bulging eyes? I have a veiled chameleon that I purchased almost 3 1/2 years ago, a female and within the year her eyes started to bulge. I took her to the vet but there's not a vet in the area that's very experienced with Chameleons. They gave me eye drops that had antibiotis in them and they never seemed to do anything. I really liked the vet but haven't taken her back as it seems like a guessing game. She still eats and drinks but has a very hard time seeing. I still see her climbing around but she doesn't climb up high as I think she has trouble again with her eye sight. She turns her head sideways just to see the insects and sometimes misses. I hand feed her at times. I noticed she gets this glaze over her eyes and when I talked with the local reptile store, the guy told me it was do to shedding. Maybe the glaze is but the eyes are bulged out all the time, the right being worse than the left. I haven't noticed anything wrong with her legs though. At one point I had to take her out of the cage and use saline drops on her eyes, several times because both eyes were completely glazed over, like a hard crust on them. Eventually they loosened up and she was able to see again to get around but those bulges are always there, right in front of her eyes. Any advice would be helpful. I e-mailed a couple breeders but no response. Thanks
