I built the frame yesterday. I still need to paint it, make doors and do the screen work.

Its going to house 1 female and one male. Female will have a bigger section due to the laying bin thats going to be inside her enclosure.

What do you guys think so far?

I guess you are going to put in a partition of some sort? Looks good so far. Looks heavy lol, hope you have a friend to help move it.

Of course! Its not heavy at all. Its pretty light actually. I moved the whole thing inside last night lol.

Looks really good, can't what to see the finished pitcure.:D

Thanks.

Hey guys i was wondering, I wanted to paint it brown but was wondering if bear paint is safe? Also I have silver aluminum screen and was wondering if I can just spray paint it black?

I would leave the screen silver. Odds are it will not adhere very well, and chip over time. Chams don't need to eat paint chips..

A good quality exterior home paint should be just fine. You may want to try Home Depot's or Lowe's paint dept, as the often have $50 cans of paint that were mixed to the wrong color for $5-15 a gal.

I got the bear home exterior paint. You think that will be fine?

Also, where the heck do you get those pvc flats for the bottom of the enclosure?

I got the bear home exterior paint. You think that will be fine? Should be fine, allow the odor to disapate for a few days before using the cage.

Also, where the heck do you get those pvc flats for the bottom of the enclosure? It is commonly used in signage, try advertising shops, like the ones that make placards, and business signage. Yellow pages mate.:)

Awesome! Going to call a few places.

going to paint everything today and get it ready for the doors and what not.

Im pretty surprised on how check it was to make this enclosure.

It was about 80bucks for a pretty big and decent looking cage. Im very happy with it. Will post pictures later tonight.

the bottom part is 2ft high.

Still waiting for time to clear up for me to go to home depot and buy more wood to make the frames for the doors for the top and bottom parts. All the screens have been put around.

I used chicken wire for the top to let more light rays into the enclosure. Side is regular aluminum window screen.

oh and im going to cover up the side where the screen is. Im thinking of putting up a frame around it to cover up the ugly part.

the under part will house the feeders (dubia and crickets which are currently under there). I will also put a drain bucket and the the humidifier in there. Tubes will be coming up from the bottom from the humidifier into the enclosure for misting purposes.

what do you guys think?
