How do I keep bugs out of my soil in my plants? I've seen a couple little black things run across the rocks down there.

I really dont know what they are. They're really tiny thoWell I’m not sure what the little black things are I will say it is almost impossible to have no bugs at all in your soil. A lot of them are beneficial for the soil/ plant. Of course it depends what it is if it’s a problem or not.
Omg thank you so muchProbably soil gnats... totally normal. No way to not have them. They would be tiny and able to fly if that is what they are.
If they go crazy and start invading the room then you can buy one of these https://www.amazon.com/Original-Ind...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

hmmm I have heard from a few people that those are awesome with large invasions lol. I just leave them... Watch the boys try to catch them. Gives them a bit of entertainment. Those only work for minor invasions lol. When they get bad, you need sundews or new soil.
Ok so I read that I can use a soap/water solution and spray that on the top layer of the soil. Will that be ok just to see if it works, I dont want to harm my cham or anythingProbably soil gnats... totally normal. No way to not have them. They would be tiny and able to fly if that is what they are.

It's not really bad yet that's why I want to fix it nowNot being rude saying this lol, but I can almost guarantee anyone with "bad" invasions, didn't actually have bad invasions if that thing fixed it. I haven't had a gnat problem in a long time, but I always wanted more just to feed my plants lol.

Have you tried this as well or just sundews...Not being rude saying this lol, but I can almost guarantee anyone with "bad" invasions, didn't actually have bad invasions if that thing fixed it. I haven't had a gnat problem in a long time, but I always wanted more just to feed my plants lol.
Well, I think they are getting worse, so what kind of harm are we talking about here? LolUnless they're bothering you, there's no reason to do this. You'll do more harm spraying soap everywhere.
They flyWe don't even for sure know if they're gnats. Need some pictures lol. Could be springtails too. Gnats are common in overly damp soil with rotting roots.

I may never try bio active nowNope, but reviews for it are pretty lacking and I've tried many other traps. Sure for a small infestation or proactive measure, but I could say the same thing... has anyone had a chameleon room filled with bios that had an infestation so bad you had to wear a mask without breathing mouthfuls of gnats in haha? And has anyone used sundews to stop a problem that bad? I'm pretty sure people that have used the katchy have their enclosures in their living space so better for a small scale problem.
Ok so I will try to dry out the soil some, but will it really hurt anything to use the soap and water solution?
