Bugs in soil

Well I’m not sure what the little black things are I will say it is almost impossible to have no bugs at all in your soil. A lot of them are beneficial for the soil/ plant. Of course it depends what it is if it’s a problem or not.

I really dont know what they are. They're really tiny tho

hmmm I have heard from a few people that those are awesome with large invasions lol. I just leave them... Watch the boys try to catch them. Gives them a bit of entertainment. :hilarious:

Not being rude saying this lol, but I can almost guarantee anyone with "bad" invasions, didn't actually have bad invasions if that thing fixed it. I haven't had a gnat problem in a long time, but I always wanted more just to feed my plants lol.

It's not really bad yet that's why I want to fix it now

Have you tried this as well or just sundews...

Nope, but reviews for it are pretty lacking and I've tried many other traps. Sure for a small infestation or proactive measure, but I could say the same thing... has anyone had a chameleon room filled with bios that had an infestation so bad you had to wear a mask without breathing mouthfuls of gnats in haha? And has anyone used sundews to stop a problem that bad? I'm pretty sure people that have used the katchy have their enclosures in their living space so better for a small scale problem.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic. You clearly don't have a bad problem, just speaking incase someone did. Point is, katchy might be the answer if you dont want to go the plant route and have a smaller issue to deal with.

I may never try bio active now :hilarious:

Ok so I will try to dry out the soil some, but will it really hurt anything to use the soap and water solution?

Some plants can be sensitive to soap solutions. It is recommended to spray a leaf and wait 24hrs to see if it will damage the plant. It also takes multiple doses and a long while for the soap solution to kill the larvae.
